RIDGELAND, MS:  Natchez Trace Parkway officials are pleased to announce the Parkway Information Cabin in Ridgeland, MS will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Parkway visitors can discover Choctaw history and culture, pick-up Natchez Trace Parkway maps and information, purchase books or patches in the Eastern National Sales outlet, and talk with volunteers.

“We are grateful to our volunteers who have committed their time to help staff the Parkway Information Cabin and provide a valuable service to our visitors,” said Superintendent Mary Risser.

As the National Park Service celebrates 100 years in 2016, the staff of the Natchez Trace Parkway encourages everyone to Find Your Park. Visitors in the Ridgeland area can enjoy Park resources by taking a walk, run, or bike on the Multi-use Trail, hiking on the Yockanookany section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail, or enjoying a picnic at River Bend.
