The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to come enjoy the Read with a Ranger program at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 8 at the Parkway Visitor Center. This month’s featured story is “Over and Under the Snow.”

The Natchez Trace Parkway will close the Meriwether Lewis Visitor Information Center for the season on October 21, 2018.

To help promote important shoreline habitat and stabilize the bank, a planting project will soon be underway. Shoreline areas along the Ross Barnett Reservoir, such as the Reservoir Overlook, were recently lined with rip rap rock to repair eroded slopes.
