The Americana Music Triangle is the birthplace of nine genres of roots music: Blues, Jazz, Country, Rock and Roll, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, Cajun, Zydeco, and Gospel. Together, these genres represent America’s greatest cultural contribution to the world.

From Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee, each state represents a special genre of music and each genre has its own story to tell.

The Americana Music Triangle is an ambitious attempt to bring together these five Southern states through music. It was founded by Aubrey Preston and the Americana Music Association. They are hoping that this will bring even more tourists to the southeastern United States and their hope is that the deep cultural and historical ties to music will be the primary motivating factor. Many singers, songwriters, and Southern musicians scattered across this part of the country will be brought together to represent the Americana Music Triangle. If you love music, this is a unique and exciting way to learn all about the South and its musical talents.
