Natchez Trace Parkway to Host Choctaw Heritage Celebration
The Natchez Trace Parkway is pleased to host the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians for a Choctaw Heritage Celebration on Saturday, November 5, 2011. The event, in commemoration of American Indian Heritage Month, will be held at the Parkway Visitor Center (milepost 266), just north of Tupelo, MS, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Natchez Trace Parkway Detour at Highway 412 in Tennessee
Natchez Trace Parkway officials announce a detour at milepost 391, east of Hohenwald, TN, at Highway 412 starting on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is widening TN Highway 412. A longer Parkway bridge at milepost 391.3 will be constructed to span the enlarged highway.

Natchez Trace Parkway Hosts Meriwether Lewis Arts and Craft Festival
The Natchez Trace Parkway will host the annual Meriwether Lewis Arts and Craft Festival at the Meriwether Lewis Monument Site (Mile Post 385.9). The festival is sponsored by the Maury County Arts Guild and will take place October 8 and 9, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
