Natchez Trace Parkway Named #7 Out of 15 Top Holiday Destinations

The Natchez Trace Parkway is proud to announce that it was named the 7th Best Destinations in the World to visit that is off the tourist track!

This is the same ancient road that was once a footpath used by Native Americans and even famous explorers, such as Lewis and Clark. The 444-mile road has already received certification as a National Scenic Highway because of its beautiful winding roads and stunning architectural achievements. The Trace has an abundance of wildlife and scenic overlooks that are sure to stun even the most robust traveler.

A great place to begin this trek is in Natchez, MS at the southernmost point of the highway. In Natchez, you will be able to see the beautiful antebellum homes and take in local cuisine and customs. As you travel north towards Tennessee and Alabama, you will have a chance to see ancient Indian Mounds, Civil War battlefields, as well as treacherous swamps. The Natchez Trace is also a great place to take your motorcycle out for the weekend and an even better way to learn and enjoy what Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee have to offer.

No wonder the Natchez Trace Parkway was named #7 out of 15 Best Destinations in the World! There are plenty of opportunities along the Parkway; you’re sure to find an activity that you would enjoy.
