On the edge of Madison County just a short drive outside of town, David “Candy Man” Mars of Vintage Air Tours offers rides in his 1928 Curtiss-Wright Travel Air Biplane. This unique and charming experience allows passengers to “fly back in time to the Golden Age of Aviation”.
David “Candy Man” Mars is a private pilot by day and has been selling biplane rides for the love of flying for 50+ years. He is a member of the American Barnstormers and enjoys welcoming visitors and locals to his airstrip, Slobovia Outernational Airport, to share his impressive collection of aviation memorabilia and vintage airliner artifacts.
