The Natchez Trace Parkway Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act with a Live Raptor Program
To celebrate the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the Natchez Trace Parkway will host the Southeastern Raptor Center’s presentation of “Live Native Raptors” at 1:00 and 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 16 at the Visitor Center in Tupelo.
The Natchez Trace Parkway Commemorated the Battle of Ackia on May 26, 2018
The Natchez Trace Parkway welcomed over 200 visitors on Saturday, May 26, 2018, to the Battle of Ackia Commemoration and Pioneer Days events. Joseph Smith, representative of the Chickasaw Nation, presented a special Junior Ranger program entitled “Chickasaw Culture and Life.”

Increased Bicycling Activity
The Natchez Trace Parkway will host a special event on Saturday, June 2. Approximately 400 bicyclists will ride in both directions along the Parkway from the Ross R. Barnett Reservoir Overlook to as far north as Highway 43.
