Natchez Trace Parkway Offers Guided Hike at Chickasaw Village

TUPELO, MS – The Natchez Trace Parkway invites visitors on a hike along the Blackland Prairie section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail (Scenic Trail) on Saturday June 29, 2019 at 9:00 am. Join a park ranger at the Chickasaw Village Site for this free 1.5 mile guided hike to immerse yourself in forest, fresh air, and wildlife. While the hike will be mostly shaded, please dress appropriately and bring water.

Visitors enjoy a ranger-led hike on the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail.

National Scenic Trails are recreational trails of more than 100 miles in length that provide for the conservation and enjoyment of the nationally significant scenic, historic, natural, or cultural qualities of the areas through which such trails may pass. The Scenic Trail is one of 11 National Scenic Trails and has five sections that can be used for hiking and/or horseback riding.
