Glenrock Branch along the Natchez Trace Parkway is located at milepost 364.5. It’s only a short walk down a trail to the creek and limestone bluff.

A favorite among locals that has been serving area farmers for over 75 years. Located on Broadway, just across from the Wayne County Welcome Center.

Its atmosphere will make you feel like you’ve stepped into an old hardware store. But don’t be fooled — this hardware store carries old and new items such as washboards, wash pails, fencing and much more. You can even still buy nails by the piece or weight. We have everything you’re looking for!

A true emporium experience, featuring locally created arts & crafts, select antiques, new gift items and a fun and inviting coffee lounge. Located on Second Avenue adjacent to the Wayne County Welcome Center.

Be sure to visit the Wayne County Welcome Center located at 219 East Broadway, just off mile marker 355. An all volunteer staff is available to assist you in your travel plans. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and cookie while you browse through the museum area featuring relics of days long gone but not forgotten.

This camp is beneath 50 year old oaks in Volunteer Park across from the Wayne County Welcome Center. Picnic areas and scheduled activities during summer months.

For the children and young at heart, camp at Ralph Hughes Park at the intersection of Hwy 13 South and Broadway Street. Pavilion, picnic areas basketball court and playground. For RV enthusiasts, camp at Dixie Youth Park on Bratton Street. Pavilion, swimming pool, and RV hookups available.

The Collinwood Depot Branch Library is housed in the Depot Station that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places April 1, 1988. The current building was originally built in 1916 which was home to 4 rooms. The Depot was placed next to the completed railway that connected Collinwood to Iron City in 1913. With the town booming in 1918, a baggage room and additional warehouse were added to the station. With railway operations on the down turn, the station ceased operation in 1939 and the tracks were removed in the early 1940’s. After the abandonment and removal of the railway the Depot was, in the ensuing years, used as a house, warehouse, and at one time a grist mill. The Collinwood City Government utilized the Depot as City Hall from 1965-1977 and later was home of the local Senior Citizen Center. To the advantage of the citizens of Collinwood the depot building has been renovated and is know known as “The Collinwood Depot Branch Library” and is open to the public Tuesday-Friday 10:30a.m.- 5:30p.m and Saturdays 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m.

Tennessee Fitness Spa is located 95 miles southwest of Nashville, Tennessee at beautiful Natural Bridge. This historic site may be the only double span natural bridge formation in the world. It is a purely natural formation that was formed over millions of years by nature. Indians used the site over several different periods of history. Tribes including the Yucchi Indians from Mexico, the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Muskogean, Creeks and Cherokees walked the trails around Natural Bridge long before the white man came to this country. The last Indians here were the Cherokees but they were ordered out by Andrew Jackson in the 1800’s, known as the “Trail of Tears”. The site is bordered by Forty-Eight Creek which is crystal clear cool water. Many species of fish can be seen from the banks. Another popular creation of nature on the grounds is the “Ice” cave. The temperature in the cave is a cool 58 degrees year round. The stream coming out of the cave is stocked with rainbow trout. Tennessee River

The Tennessee River is the largest tributary of the Ohio River. It is approximately 652 miles (1049 km) long and is located in the southeastern United States in the Tennessee Valley. The river was once popularly known as the Cherokee River, among other names.

Clifton Marina, Ross Creek Landing Golf Course and the T.S. Stribling Home and Museum are just a short drive away. From the Natchez Trace Parkway follow Hwy 64 West to Historic Clifton resting right on the banks of the Tennessee.

One of Tennessee’s most scenic rivers, the Buffalo meanders through the northern part of Wayne County. The river is famous as a float stream for canoe and kayak enthusiasts. From moderately fast rapids to lazy, slow-moving waters, a journey down the Buffalo River is to experience nature at its best. For those who fish, the river is home to an abundance of small-mouth bass, rock bass, and catfish. From milepost 355 follow TN Hwy 13 north approximately 20 miles to the Buffalo River.

Upon your arrival, please visit the Wayne County Welcome Center in Collinwood, at mile marker 355 off the Natchez Trace Parkway and approximately 13 miles north of the Alabama state line. Our staff of volunteers will help direct you to your destination and provide useful information on attractions all across Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Their cookies and coffee are pretty good, too! All listings on this page are just a short drive from our Welcome Center and accessible from the Natchez Trace Parkway.
