Increased Bicycling Activity

The Natchez Trace Parkway will host a special event on Saturday, June 2. Approximately 400 bicyclists will ride in both directions along the Parkway from the Ross R. Barnett Reservoir Overlook to as far north as Highway 43.

A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 7,034,487 visitors to Mississippi’s National Park Service units in 2017 spent $192 million in local communities. That spending supported 2620 jobs in the state and had a cumulative benefit to the local economies of $207 million.
