August 30, 2011 (Waynesboro, TN) – It is always special when someone makes a donation to their local chamber of commerce, especially when the contribution allows the chamber to better market the community’s assets. Now, thanks to HSEC Global, Inc., a Collinwood, Tennessee based health, safety, security and environmental consulting company owned by Dianne J. Scheppf, the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce will be able to move forward on construction of an outside visitor directory on court square in Waynesboro. Contributors to the project thus far included CCA- South Central Correctional Facility, Bonnie Blue Farm and Waynesboro Ace Hardware.

“We are so blessed to have chamber members stepping up and making things happen for the chamber and the community” stated chamber president Roger Smith “Working together, we can make Wayne County a better place for travelers and residents alike.”

The kiosk will feature full-color maps of Nashville’s Trace and Tennessee River Trail,
the two Discover Tennessee Trails and Byways in which the Wayne County area has
been included. Brochures with maps of each trail, local and regional maps, and other
promotional material will be housed in the directory. The information directory will be
similar to the one outside the Wayne County Welcome Center in Collinwood and plans
are in the works to have another constructed in Clifton very soon. State tourism grant
funds have been applied for to assist in printing of maps for both directories.

The donation came about at last week’s chamber board of directors meeting. The
Executive Director had previously requested $500 to use with other pledged materials
and labor toward construction of the directory. Expenditures of this size must first
meet the board’s approval and so it was placed on the August 24th agenda. During
the discussion of the directory, board member Paul Scheppf, Operations Manager for
HSEC Global, Inc. offered to donate the $500 on behalf of the company that his wife
Dianne owns. An excited and appreciative board accepted the generous offer. These
monies will pay for any materials needed that have not been donated, such as finishing
work, protective coverings and display holders. Mrs. Scheppf stated, “We must all take
some ownership in the Chamber in turn to help our Chamber help us, the business
community.” Paul Scheppf praised chamber board members for the excellent job they
have been doing in promoting the area and thanked County Executive Jason Rich for his
outstanding leadership and support of local businesses.

Persons wishing to make a material or financial donation to the construction of these
directories or any chamber programs are asked to contact the office at 931-722-3575
or via email at chamber@netease.net. Monetary donations may be mailed to Wayne
County Chamber, P.O. Box 574, Waynesboro, TN 38485.
