Logo-TransparentThe Tupelo Flea Market will take place in it’s massive 500,000 square foot facility from July 12 – July 14. Admission is only $1.00. They will be celebrating their 25th anniversary, so you could even win door prizes! This event usually draws about 30,000 people and is a great place to find unique and great works of art from local and national sellers. Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course is hosting the American Legion Scramble July 20 at 8:00 a.m. Tee times are at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and is an 18 hole scramble with each time consisting of four players. The cost for participating in this event is still TBA so please check out their website for the latest updates at hohenwaldgolf.com.

Be sure to also check out the Natchez Food & Wine Festival in Natchez, MS. Try out a variety of cuisine from local restaurants and world-class chefs from July 26 – July 28. Treat your taste buds and sample delicacies from restaurants such as Babalu, South City Kitchen, New Orleans Fish House, Sylvin’s and more. Experience the average day during the 1800’s by attending Pioneer Day! Join the Tombigbee Pioneer Group on July 27 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and travel back into the 19th century. The Tombigbee Pioneer Group was organized to preserve the knowledge of the handcrafts and life styles of the early pioneer settlers in Mississippi. Witness volunteers portraying daily life during the 1800’s and learn what it’s like to hunt and cook over open flames. Find out more here.

Make it out to Florence, AL between July 19 – 28 to witness blues music that you will love! You will find artists performing live at local restaurants and public parks. On July 27, check out the Handy 100 cycling event held in “The Shoals.” There are a variety of distance options that allows all levels of riders to participate, and it ranges from 21 miles to over 100 miles!
