Located in beautiful, historic Leiper’s Fork, just minutes off the Natchez Trace, the Sweeney home, now owned by Julee Jones, has been restored to its 1933 condition.  The original homestead, owned by Charlie Sweeney, son of founding father Joseph L. Sweeney, was rebuilt after it burned to the ground in 1931. This home known for years as  “Miss Sweeney’s” has opened its doors for women to come and enjoy the loveliness and quaint surroundings of Leiper’s Fork.   Miss Sweeney’s features four guestrooms and is located one block from the unique shops and dining in our historic little village.

Brigadoon is located in the village of Leiper’s Fork. A two-minute walk leaves you with three restaurant choices and several unique shops in which to browse. You cannot pay to sleep any closer to the heart of the village. The village folk are amazing, and are the reason my wife and I reside here. Moreover, you are only eight miles from one of the best main streets in the South: Franklin, TN. And we’re only 29 miles from downtown Nashville. 

Brigadoon is an expression of our family’s love of antiques. If you enjoy the eclectic, sophisticated and whimsical, you will probably appreciate this stunning cottage in Leiper’s Fork village. Imagine Ralph Lauren having a yard sale and you will capture something of the essence of this place.

 Brigadoon is beautiful. It is a quirky, post-Civil War home that has succumbed to a slight British invasion. Two distinct living rooms and a sun/dining room combination give the home its identity. A queen bedroom on the main level offers a traditional sleeping experience; upstairs a queen bedroom suite has a loft feel. Day bed and optional inflatable queen bed will allow for additional places to rest the head. The kitchen, aka “the coop,” has enough utensils to cook if you so desire. Two bathrooms are available; upstairs is the claw foot tub; downstairs is the walk-in shower. You choose. A wonderful back deck allows you to further escape the village thoroughfare. 

We love pets with three Scottish Terriers of our own: Bentley, Chester and Magpie. That said, all pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis and subject to a $75 non-refundable deposit per pet.
